چکیده

We study spin systems on Bethe lattices constructed from ddimensional hypercubes. Although these lattices are not tree-like, and therefore closer to real cubic lattices than Bethe lattices or regular random graphs, one can still use the Bethe-Peierls method to derive exact equations for the magnetization and other thermodynamic quantities. We compute phase diagrams for ferromagnetic Ising models on hypercubic Bethe lattices with dimension d = 2, 3, and 4. Our results are in good agreement with the results of the same models on d-dimensional cubic lattices, for low and high temperatures, and offer an improvement over the conventional Bethe lattice with connectivity k = 2d.

Characterisation of Anderson localisation using distributions

We examine the use of distributions in numerical treatments of Anderson localisation and supply evidence that treating exponential localisation on Bethe lattices recovers the overall picture known from hypercubic lattices in 3d.

Heisenberg Spin Glass on a Hypercubic Cell

We present results of a Monte Carlo simulation of an Heisenberg Spin Glass model on a hipercubic cell of size 2 in D dimensions. Each spin interacts with D nearest neighbors and the lattice is expected to recover the completely connected (mean field) limit as D → ∞. An analysis of the Binder parameter for D = 8, 9 and 10 shows clear evidence of the presence of a spin glass phase at low temperat...

Transport functions for hypercubic and Bethe lattices

In calculations of transport quantities, such as the electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, Seebeck, Peltier, Nernst, Ettingshausen, Righi-Leduc, or Hall coefficients, sums over the Brillouin zone of wave-vector derivatives of the dispersion relation commonly appear. When the self-energy depends only on frequency, as in single-site dynamical mean-field theory, it is advantageous to perf...

1 6 M ay 1 99 7 Why Loops Don ’ t Matter

In recent work [1] we have found identical behaviour for various spin models on " thin " random graphs-Feynman diagrams-and the corresponding Bethe lattices. In this paper we observe that the ratios of the saddle point equations in the random graph approach are identical to the fixed point(s) of the recursion relations which are used to solve the models on the Bethe lattice. The loops in the ra...

Spin glass behavior upon diluting frustrated magnets and spin liquids: a Bethe-Peierls treatment

A Bethe-Peierls treatment to dilution in short range frustrated magnets and spin liquids is given. The ferromagnetic bonds of a Cayley tree are diluted and a next nearest neighbor antiferromagnetic coupling is added by completing the triangles in a Husimi cactus fashion. A spin glass phase is present at low temperatures and close to the percolation point as soon as frustration is switched on in...
